A lot of my outfits of late have been inspired by gardening. Floral prints mixed with worn denims, huge tote bags and big straw hats. Truth be told, I often think of a young Ruth Fisher (played by Frances Conroy) when putting together my summer looks. (On a side note, she is BY FAR my favorite television character ever. Definitely check out Six Feet Under!). The mixture of lush green leaves, bright flowers and all the planting we've been doing has definitely been informing my style lately! And I'm definitely not the only one - I've seen lots of beautiful babelets rocking the floral prints around town. Ahhh I love summer styles!
xoxo.
I really enjoy this outfit. I have been on the look out for the jean vest lately. I love it paired with floral. Wonderful :)

i watched the entire six feet under series around 4 years ago (on dvds checked out from the local library). one of my top 3 favorite shows of all time.
ReplyDeletei love that tote. the farmer's market just started up in my neighborhood. you have got yourself the ideal produce bag! :)
I also love the cheeriness of summer prints. It's refreshing after all of the darkness of winter.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's time I started bringing out the florals maybe it will finally bring us some much needed warm weather. But mostly yes I watched six feet under from the start, and totally 'identified' with Claire. Such a good programme.
