These are a few shots from yesterday, which was my 25th bday (yipee!) and today, which was my hangover day (yipee?). Yesterday's bday party was amazing, despite the fact that Jb had to miss it because of a work trip. It ended up being an evening filled with delicious food care of my bosom buddy Amanda (the lady wearing the incredible sweater/glasses combo), new friends (care of the lovely Lydia and her roomie Katie), excellent chats about gender/race politics (epic moments), adorable presents (mobiles! embroidery!) and finally a good ol' indie rock show (care of Mercy Years, the band I sometimes play keys in).
Today was actually quite rad as well. Despite nursing the worst hangover of the year (that's right, I'm calling it already), I managed to have a rad lady-breakfast, celebrate some friends' coffee shop opening, buy some fabric and make a few throw pillow covers. I'd say year 25 is off to an excellent start!
*Funny story about this sweater: I wore it for a class skit in which I was playing a granny, and afterwards everyone in the class was supposed to write these anonymous "feedback cards" that the skit peeps could read. No joke: about 10 of them were solely about this sweater. One actually just said "PENGUINS!!"
