well hullo everyone!
there's nothing i enjoy more than a lovely summer bike ride and a new tattoo! ^_^ i'm really happy with how my latest tattoo turned out. it made me realize that i haven't done a "tattoo post" yet, so i'll be doing one soon. this one i got in memory of my lovely grandma.

these pictures were taken near our old neighbourhood near commercial drive. i seriously miss that hood. for those of you who are familiar with vancouver we now live in mount pleasant, which is a lot more safe, quiet and homey but also more "tame". the drive was full of super eccentric, colourful and totally random people. everything from buskers to war vets to uber hipsters. lots of amazing co-ops and cheap veggie stands... so needless to say it was nice to be back on the drive to celebrate the sunshine. i wish i took more pictures of the hood but we ran out of time! do any of you have a favorite neighbourhood in your hometown?
outfit details:
- vintage Levi jean shorts
- vintage floral tank
- UO backpack
- vintage leather loafers
- H&M sunglasses
happy monday!
xoxo.
PS i was totally wearing a helmet but it's quite ugly so we decided to take the pictures without... safety first!
I do enjoy the Drive and Mount Pleasant, but happily they are just a short bike-ride away from my hood - Hastings Sunrise. Trust me, we'll be blowin' up soon! (?)
ReplyDeleteLove Hastings Sunrise! Right by Donald's Market and the Powell Street JJ Bean! Vancouver represent! ^_^
ReplyDeleteLove your top!
ReplyDelete& your tattoo is so beautiful, a great way to remember your grandma - i'm a big believer in tattoos having a meaning & being really special, rather than just random picked out the book type thing! I wish I was brave enough to have another tattoo (mine is TINY) but I'm such a wimp. I'd love to be covered in beautiful inked artwork though! xx
the new tattoo is absolutely beautiful!...and that is the perfect summer tank!
ReplyDeletelove the new tattoo! i like the idea of a tattoo post. :) and its nice that there's some sentiment to it, not that i don't enjoy a tattoo just cause.
ReplyDeletei don't ride because i hate wearing a helmet but i'm glad to hear you wear one.
xoxo
i love your sunnies and your shirt and your new tat :) such a qt!

Sounds like a gorgeous area! I love your floral tank. So nice to commemorate your Grandma that way. :)
ReplyDeletesounds like a sweet neighbourhood. Riding bikes in the sunshine must have been awesome. Your new tattoo is lovely, very detailed work. I have one in the same spot, its such a perfect place, it hasn't faded at all.
