i am OFFICIALLY done exams! this can only mean that my christmas fever will be reaching its pinnacle now that the ghost of stressful GPA pressure is out of the picture. we recently watched muppet christmas carol and i will hopefully be making a gingerbread house asap. IT'S TIME!!!
sorry, i know i must be nauseating to those of you who (understandably) do not celebrate or despise the materialism of modernized christmas. i totally get this. for me it is pure escapism. now i can pretend that by painting my nails sparkly red and watching puppets prance around while singing "t'is the season to be merry and joyful" will solve all my personal problems. and there's always that swelling sense that if we all just give a bit to charity this year and waste a little less wrapping paper, we might just be able to make this world work. maybe it's a hope in hell and a tidbit naïve, but it's only for the month of december, i promise.
on a fashion-y note, i adore this little vintage plaid skirt. i've had it for years now and although it's a little big for me now i just can't help but wear it every winter. plaid has definitely made a comeback with the new preppy/ivy-league look, but i feel that it's always been somewhat badass. and warm!

this picture makes me excited to get more smile-y crows feet wrinkles. seriously, a mark of an excellent woman.
